Mobile music geo recording app idea.
Imagine this...
You get in your car, and start it. You know where you are starting from,
and you know your destination (or not).
Instead of turning your radio on, you push a button, hear a beep - and say
"Starting Journey".
At which point, you....
1) talk about everything that is going on in your head.
2) Sing a song
3) Turn on the radio, or play your favorite tunes from a CD.
All the while, a microphone picks up the sounds that you create - and tags
it geographically, and saves it as a 'show'.
When you get to your destination, you push a button, hear a beep - and say
"End of Journey".
On your way home in your car, you push a button, hear a beep - and say
"Scan Stations".
Along the way home, you hear recordings from other people who have uploaded
their recordings...
Here is the catch, you only hear stations/recordings that fall along the
same geographical region, or route that you are on/within.
One way to do this, would be to set starting and end points for the route.
Then, imagine a straight line connecting these 2 geographical points on a
map...split that line in 2, find the center - and create a circle using the
2 end points as your diameter.
This circle would dictate the geographical region for the broadcasting of
that recording.
You're still driving....
While scanning, You hear a station that sounds entertaining, push a button
and say "Stop Scan". When the audio on the station that you are listening
to ends, you hear a voice say "Do you wish to rate this show?", if you say
yes, you say announce a numeric value ranging from 1 to 100 assigning an
entertainment score to that broadcast. If you say no, it begins scanning
again, or plays the next 'show' on that same channel.
The next day, you start your car, push a button and say "Scan shows from 90
to 100"...Then it only broadcast the 'shows' that have been voted the most
entertaining.
User supplied, geographically based entertainment while you drive (or not).
